Annalisa Cadenelli.

Annalisa Cadenelli

(Self Directed)

I find her work creepy this is due to the photograph being in black and white, the distortion of the image and the lone figure. Even though the figure is slightly out of proportion and blurry we are still able to identify it and the fact that it is alone can be quite scary, as it gives the question of who would want to walk down a road by themselves at night? The viewer is able to get some indication that the location has buildings surrounding it and that the light is being produced through an opening. The light itself is sinister as it only reveals what it wants you to see, there could be anything within the dark. It shows me that when taking a photograph the image does not have to be light and dark but the shades in between can be interesting, distorting and creepy.
