Sculpture. Week 9.

Sculpture

Week 9 (Tuesday 26th November 2013)

Continued to develop the idea of weaved technique but instead of doing it in a variety of different materials as before I decided to focus on the colour of one material. This is due to the fact that there is a variety of colours to choose from, it is relatively easy to weave and strong to hold the weight of another. I choose colours that were similar to one another, this could be a similar colour but in a different tone. I am then able to mix then up to find a composition that is appealing.

The size is similar as before, small but this then works when putting the other two pieces together. Originally I wanted to create a tower that started off big at the bottom and worked its way smaller towards the top all the while getting lighter and lighter colours so that you could see the change. My peers have stated that it is interesting especially with the others as it forms one piece, but I could start experimenting with other techniques so that it is not repetitive.
