It is a little gallery that has a variety of art, I found that due to the range of different art there is something for everyone. It is over powered by art.

Tree Of Life
A Welsh artist that is inspired by magic and fairy tales that she was brought up with during her childhood. Especially inspired by Arthur Rackham's work, this made her work with illustration then look into Art Nouveau.

What appealed to me was the colours and patterns that was created by her techniques. Depending on the colour, I feel creates a different image, such as the reddish ones remind me on burning and the blue ones of under water, specially with the added marks. It shows the importance of colour and that adding texture and marks can change the whole image meaning and interpretation. It has made me realise even the simplest of ideas and images can be effective and interesting due to the colours and patterns.

He was introduced to the work of John Varley a watercolour artist which inspired him into art. His style was created by a few artists but was mainly self taught. He works with oil paints and creates pieces that are colourful with marks that are created with different techniques and bright colours. He sees the composition then the shapes then chooses the colour nearly instantly. However sometimes he starts with a quick sketch, and normally starts with a base coat colour. His work is diverse form landscapes to cityscapes using pencil to oil. He feels that paint adds depth to capture the views he sees.

What drew me to his work was how he uses light to create a warm and
bright piece. I specifically like the one where the sun is prominent as it
shows the contrast of the dark and light in the same piece. It shows me that taking
my time and trying new things I can create interesting photographs that can look like paintings due to the staggered colours. It
shows the environment to be strong and empowering yet calm but all at the same
time realistic.
