Lorenzo Quinn.

Lorenzo Quinn.

Lorenzo Quinn
During Love
White Bronze, Stainless Steel on a Granite Bass

He feels as if sculpture is communication, to show people how he feels and what he imagines. He was influenced by his father, who originally made him look at surrealism but later he choose sculpture as he felt he can get his energy through to his work better. He had a brief stint as an actor but then focused on sculpture as it was a better way to express himself. He wants to change what we see everyday.

Lorenzo Quinn
The Four Loves
Bronze

His work can be interpreted differently depending on the viewer as people see and understand things separately. I find his work clever as he uses the human body as a focal point, something that everyone can relate to and things that can effect a person such as love. I feel he uses strong material for example bronze and granite to show the strength and power a person has.
