Roberts has used a variety of media, crayon, pencil, oil, watercolour, acrylic and mosaic. However he mainly works with paint, in a contemporary style who focuses on the female form, natural beauty. He uses shading and light to create the correct shape and bold colours to give an impact.

His work is realistic due to the proportion of the body however the way that that the colour and tone is staggered reminds me of pop art. In the majority of his work the main focus is on the females body, as if the torso is more important than the face, in this case the identity is not revealed. I have learned that you can create and build up a believable image by separating colours and tones. Also changing the background either dark or light can change the power that the figure has and how expressive it is.
