What drew me to
Diamonds work is the pattern she builds up within the animal and works with it
to create colour. I find that it looks mechanical and that the different shapes
are the joints. Even with all the patterns you are still able to distinguish the different aspect and that it forms a bird. The colour used is dark and neutral, personally I find that
this portrays the bird as forgotten and unnoticed, as it begins to blend into the background.
Birds are all around but never really recognised they are just there, watching.
